CANOGA PARK, CA—Brick Price, President of WonderWorks, one of the top special effects companies in the world, has announced a script development agreement with Misty Mountain Productions, an indie production company; and The Fiction Works, an Internet-based publishing firm. Both companies are owned by Ray Hoy and based in the Great Northwest.
WonderWorks is a design, effects and production company serving the film, theme park and museum industries. Their client list includes NASA, Spielberg, Lucas, Disney, Universal, G.M., Ford, Chryler, Rockwell, and the Smithsonian Museum. Price's special effects work has been featured in films such as The Abyss, Armageddon, Apollo 13, Rocket's Red Glare, Deep Impact, Star Trek, and others.
"Ray and I have been friends for years, and worked on numerous projects together. We have a mutual respect for each other's honesty, integrity and the ability to get things done," Price said. "Ray has been a professional writer, editor and publisher for 35 years. During that time he also spent 15 years as a director of casino marketing for Wayne Newton Gaming and other top Nevada gaming properties, so he knows how to set goals and achieve results.
"To the best of my knowledge, no production company has ever had a situation like the one we have with Ray's production company and publishing firm, and I find that amazing. The need for product has grown exponentially over the last few years what with cable, satellite, eBooks and now straight-to-DVD product.

After The Fiction Works editorial staff finishes with their evaluation, editing and publishing phases, I'm free to choose from their broad selection of great story ideas, in any genre I want. I simply make my request and Ray provides me with a screenplay for that title through Misty Mountain Productions.
"Ray is a talented writer as well as editor. His screenplay first-take draft of a book I wrote is spot on and true to the intent of the novel. This is important in this day when so many writers are as concerned about the translation from novel to screenplay as I am. It's magical to have scripts on demand like this.
